Lembeh 2007 Favorite of the Day, September 21, 2008    [ Diving,Photography,Travel ]

Another Lembeh favorite for today, and this time it’s a common subject, a clown anemonefish. Common, but always lovely, I enjoy shooting these guys.

Gotta love Nemo!!

New – search boxes for photo names and gallery names    [ Website updates ]

After a suggestion from one of my coworkers at Intel, I have added Wikipedia and Google search boxes to my photo pages and gallery pages that will automatically do searches based on the photo name or the gallery name. I may need to tweak the gallery name search to be more useful. But I’d love to hear feedback about this feature and whether it’s useful.

Also have upgraded my WordPress installation to 2.6.2, which is very easy to do now that I’ve converted to Subversion updates.

Keystone Jetty, Whidbey Island underwater photos    [ Diving,Photography ]

After only just recently posting my Keystone images (what few there were) from last September’s trip to Whidbey Island, we went up this last weekend to dive again. I did two dives, but have no photos from the first dive due to a camera configuration error on my part. I was also trying out a modification for my AF-ON button, which I use for autofocus, but which was very hard for me to reach, especially with dry gloves on, on my new Seatool housing. The modification was a button extender, which seemed to work pretty well, and I enjoyed being able to focus and shoot again (simple pleasures!). Anyway, here are a few photos:

The gallery is here.

Lembeh 2007 Favorite of the Day, September 1, 2008    [ Diving,Photography,Travel ]

Okay, back to posting some favorites from my last Lembeh trip! This is a zebra crab, who makes his home within the poisonous spines of a fire urchin. Fire urchins are beautiful creatures, if not that easy to get along with, and they make a sparkling negative space for this strikingly striped little crab.

Page navigation in galleries is working again…    [ Website updates ]

Recently I noticed that page navigation within my galleries and between photos was totally broken, and I apologize for that. I think it must have been broken since I upgraded my galleries to Exhibit Engine 2.02, sometime last year, but it took me a while to become aware of the problem. I believe it is fixed now, so I hope folks will have an easier time navigating my gallery pages. If you see any anomalies, please let me know!
