I’m assuming that you’ve lost your long-time companion and pet. My daughter lost hers about a year ago, and I’ve been through countless friends over the years, to the extent that I won’t have another because I hate the loss. My sympathies go with you: I can easily identify with your emotions just now. You’ll get over it after a while, but the fond memories will remain.

Thanks for your kind words, Ed. Yes, he was a very special friend and companion, for the last 14 years. I miss him terribly. It’s hard to imagine going through this again. It helps to know that others feel the same way. — Linda
