Linda, beautiful (absolutely incredible) work. I would suggest Belize on a live aboard. My first trip in 1992 on the Belize aggressor was great and I shot my first UW photos with the Nikonos system. I plan to get them converted to disk someday for sharing. What film are you shooting with ( I am partial to Velvia but looking for suggestions for my Cayman trip this month )? Any advice would be great. Thank you for sharing such inspiring work. LJ

Think your website is one of the best on the u/w photo ring, truly gorgeous photos, so colourful and detailed. Beats a lot of the more arrogant websites on this ring who thinks their photos are awesome when they have strong shadow, no colour and are overexposed.

PBG, FL USA - Friday, October 17, 2003 at 16:31:49 (PDT)
Linda, I was delighted to view your galleries. Particularly since we seem to have shared so many dive destinations. Even though I live in FL now, I lived a few years in OR, and dove extensivly in the Tillamook area, Hood Canal, and up in BC. I even went on both the Nautilus VII & the Nautilus Explorer, occasionally as a Dive Master, other times as a passenger. A few of my other travels have brought me to Bonaire, Montery Bay, & a trip aboard the Spirit of the Solomons to name a few. To re-visit these sites through the eyes of your lenses was truely wonderful. I am now starting to feel that I am getting a grasp on this U/W photo thing. I have given up the MMII ex and gone to a housed Nikon. Living in the West Palm Beach area of FL, I now find myself diving quite often, and it has been a wonderful opprotunity for my wife and I to begin developing our u/w photo skills. I even made the newspaper and TV a couple weeks ago for photographing a lionfish in 55 feet of water off the east coast of FL. Seems it got a lot of people at NOAA and the FL Dept. of Wildlife all excited! If you should find yourself coming down this way (closest spot on the mainland US to the warn nutrient rich Gulfstream) please feel free to post an email to me. My wife and I would be delighted to show you some of the underwater splendor that we have to offer here. (Way better than the over-dove and dying FL Keys) In supporting my u/w photo habit, I will upon occasion DM for one of the local charters http://www.puravidadivers.com and would highly reccomend them. Best Regards, Jeff H Best Regards JEFF (& Mary) Hawes

Linda, I recently came across your website looking for more insight on feeding my corals and was truly blown away by your talent and incredible eye for catching such incredible shots. You are amazingly talented and I have booked marked your site to see if you happen to grace us with any more amazing photos of the 'other world'. Roy

Linda, what magnificent photos! My husband and I live on Pulali Point - he dove it yesterday. I was doing an Internet search on Pulali when I found your site. The Chief Seattle Council - Boy Scouts of America plan to log 120 acres on Pulali Point - most of it. Neighbors have been rallying to save this pristing forest and shoreline from being forever changed. I would like permission to be able to share your Hood Canal photos with the BSA Council. The more we educate them about the fact that Pulali Point is a unique place and destination for divers and others nationwide, perhaps they will reconsider.

I hope many many influential people see the beauty of Mother Nature through your eyes. It can't but help them come to appreciate just what a miracle we were given. It may enlighten everyone toward behaving more responsibly with the gift of Nature, and the effects the actions of humans can have on all of it. Thank you. Some wonderful images and a great eye for composition, keep up the great work, however, is there any info on equipment or technique available. Perhaps we'll meet on a boat or shore somewhere.

Linda, As usual, I am in awe of your skill and artistic eye. Your images are as close to perfect as one can get. The latest from Port Hardy are amazing and as long as you are taking pictures, I don't need to. Thank you, Diana

Very Nice ! Did you happen to see the Underwater Archaeology Society plaque on the Themis ?? I was on the expedition that set it this past summer. There was a wolf eel den immediately below the plaque, was it still inhabited ? Port Hardy is beautiful country, topside and below. Makes me wish I had a better camera !!

Definitely the best underwater photography website I have seen in a long time! Tell me if anymore coldwater destinations pop up, I'd like to see them. Bonaire was very good, a destionation I would consider visiting. Obviously Asia, but in depth only (too much to explore). I know a guy in UK who takes some pretty great underwater photos. His website is http://www.liddiard.demon.co.uk/ - hope you like it.

Wow! Well done, Linda, this is real art. I live on the legendary Ithaca in Greece. I don't dive, I'm just a novice snorkeller, but would like to know how you got the names of everything you shot. Apart from capturing everything I see and showing it to a local fisherman!!... Is there a good site I could go to or did it take you a lot of research? I'd be very grateful for any clues. Thank you and keep doing your thing.
